Occupational Health and Safety

The palm oil plantation and processing areas owned by the Company cover a vast working area. This reality contributes to the safety risks faced by its employees. Furthermore, the Company implements an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) through the Triputra Safety Health and Environment Management System (TSMS) Guidelines. These guidelines are prepared to increase the protection effectiveness of the occupational health and safety (OHS) through a planned, structured, measurable, and integrated manner.

To strengthen the commitment of the management and employees concerning OHS, at the beginning of each year the OHS pledge shall be read out and the commitment thereof shall be signed by the management and employees. Then, as a manifestation of this commitment and also to improve awareness of the OHS aspect, we have implemented a safety campaign in the form of a badge that reads “Safety Dimulai dari Saya” which was distributed to all employees.

To ensure a safe work environment for all employees, we implement various work programs, which includes Safety Patrol, Safety and Health Audit, 5K+1S (Orderliness, Neatness, Cleanliness, Sustainability, Discipline and Safety) Assessment, Safety Improvement, Contractor Safety Management System, Behavior Based Safety (BBS), and others. Through these programs, we expect that all employees can play an active role in achieving zero accident in the workplace.

In an effort to prevent occupational diseases, the Company also conducts various programs actively. The Company, among others, supervises the work environment, monitors occupational diseases, organizes medical check-ups (MCU), provides health education, conducts employee trainings, and makes improvements related to the prevention of occupational diseases such as the provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) that employees can work comfortably and remain healthy.
